I used this transformer to power a Pioneer automobile radio/CD/OSB unit in my house using regular 120 volt house current. I connected the two AC wires to house current and sure enough the two wires at the other end were showing 12 Volt DC as expected. The Pioneer unit is supposed to be able to power a bunch of speakers intended for really loud sound, but I simply used it to power four regular speakers - two in the bedroom ceiling and two in the living room ceiling. This transformer unit seems to work quite well for my needs.David Wile
